Hosted by the Vice President of Uganda, H.E. Jessica Alupo, SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi joined Director Operations of Operation Wealth Creation (@OWC_ug), Ms. Sylvia Owori, for strategic discussions on the full-scale implementation of the National Coffee Empowerment Program aimed at transforming livelihoods across Eastern and Northern Uganda.
The National Coffee Empowerment Program is being implemented by CoffPass Growers Ltd, an activity-based mobilization group supervised by SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi under the State House Local Content Unit. The initiative is focused on empowering households through commercial coffee growing as a sustainable pathway to wealth creation and economic inclusion. Not limited to other related programs, the Country is headed for greatness as far as coffee production is concerned

A key highlight of the program is the distribution of coffee wilt disease-resistant varieties to farmers. These improved varieties are expected to increase productivity, reduce losses caused by disease, and ensure long-term sustainability in coffee farming communities.
The program aligns with H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s vision of moving Ugandans from subsistence living into the money economy by promoting income-generating agricultural enterprises. Through this initiative, communities previously outside the formal economy will have an opportunity to participate in commercial agriculture, improve household incomes, and contribute to national economic growth.

The discussions emphasized mobilization, farmer sensitization, and strategic partnerships to ensure that the benefits of the program reach grassroots communities effectively and sustainably.
The State House Local Content Unit continues to champion initiatives that empower citizens, promote local participation, and create inclusive economic opportunities for all Ugandans.
