Who we are

We are a Unit established by H.E. Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, under the authority granted by Article 99 of the Constitution.

Our core mandate is to monitor and enforce compliance with Uganda’s local content policies, regulations and guidelines while safeguarding fairness in access to opportunities.

To empower Locals by fostering capacity development, strengthening local industries, and ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and guidelines that promote technology transfer, economic inclusion, and sustainable development.
