Kampala, Uganda — The Minister of State for Privatisation and Investment, Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, has commenced a series of visits to industrial parks and factories across the country to engage investors, identify operational challenges and promote practical solutions for a stronger investment environment.
During her first day of engagements, Minister Mukalazi visited Picfare Nytil Industrial Park in Jinja, where investors raised concerns over the alleged fraudulent acquisition of land titles on land belonging to Nytil Industries. An urgent stakeholders’ meeting was agreed upon to address the matter and seek a lasting resolution.
At MMP Industrial Park in Buikwe, she commended BestEver Paper Industries Ltd for its innovative use of bamboo to produce paper and planting materials, highlighting the potential for sustainable local value addition.

The Minister also toured manufacturing investments in vehicle assembly, agricultural inputs and pharmaceuticals, noting the growing capacity of Uganda’s industrial sector to create jobs and drive value addition.
At Mediverse Ltd, she engaged workers on factory operations, welfare and skills development. She also visited the African Women in Processing (AWIP) Women-led Industrial Park, commending President Elizabeth Kasenene for championing women-led industrialisation. The visit precedes the AWIP Presidents’ meeting in Uganda on 18–19 August 2026, bringing together leaders from 16 African countries to explore opportunities to replicate the model across the continent.
At Kiira Motors, Minister Mukalazi witnessed ongoing vehicle assembly and developments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. She commended the company’s contribution to smart and environmentally sustainable transport and pledged continued support for Uganda’s automotive industry.
The day concluded with a visit to Tian Tang, where she appreciated the company’s contribution to manufacturing and value addition.
Minister Mukalazi said Government remains committed to working closely with investors, addressing challenges and creating a supportive environment that enables businesses to grow, create jobs and contribute to Uganda’s industrial transformation.
