ENTEBBE, UGANDA – Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, Head of the State House Local Content Unit, joined H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House, Entebbe, in a high-level meeting with a delegation of Egyptian dairy investors exploring opportunities to partner with Uganda in dairy value addition.
The Egyptian delegation expressed interest in investing in Uganda’s dairy industry through value addition initiatives aimed at enhancing milk processing capacity, improving product quality, and expanding access to regional and international markets.

During the meeting, President Museveni highlighted Uganda’s remarkable progress in dairy production, noting that the country now produces approximately 5.4 billion litres of milk annually, with a significant surplus available for processing and export. He emphasized that increasing value addition remains a key Government priority to maximize farmers’ incomes, create employment opportunities, and boost export earnings.
Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi welcomed the investors and commended their decision to consider Uganda as an investment destination. She reaffirmed the commitment of the State House Local Content Unit to supporting investments that promote local value addition, technology transfer, skills development, and job creation for Ugandans.
The engagement reflects the Government’s continued efforts to attract strategic investments that strengthen Uganda’s agro-industrial sector while advancing the national agenda of industrialization, import substitution, and export promotion under the Local Content framework.
