Kampala, Uganda – The Head of the State House Local Content Unit and the State Minister of finance, planning and economic development (privatization and investment), Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, joined H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, senior government officials, investors, and key stakeholders in a high-level meeting to discuss strategic investments aimed at accelerating Uganda’s economic transformation under the FY 2026/27 development agenda.
The meeting, convened by H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, brought together the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development (Minerals), Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, the Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Dr. Michael Atingi-Ego, the former Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi, investors, and other distinguished stakeholders.

Held shortly before the presentation of the FY 2026/27 National Budget Speech, the engagement focused on strengthening strategic investments that will drive industrialization, value addition, job creation, and sustainable economic growth in line with the government’s vision for national transformation.
Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi reaffirmed the commitment of the State House Local Content Unit to promoting local content policies that ensure Ugandans and local enterprises actively participate in and benefit from the country’s investment opportunities. She emphasized that strategic investments should continue to create employment, build local capacity, and maximize value for the Ugandan economy.
The discussions underscored the importance of collaboration between government, investors, and development partners in creating an enabling environment for responsible investment while advancing the country’s wealth creation agenda under the “Kisanja No More Sleep” vision.
