Hon. Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi today held a meeting with Mr. York Wu, Vice President of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), to discuss key areas of infrastructure development in Uganda.
The meeting focused on opportunities for collaboration in infrastructure development and the role of private sector investment in supporting Uganda’s economic growth.
During the engagement, Hon. Aminah appreciated CSCEC for its valuable investments in Uganda and for choosing the country as an investment destination. She highlighted the importance of continued investor participation in strengthening Uganda’s infrastructure and expanding economic opportunities.
The engagement also underscored the potential for infrastructure investments to create employment opportunities for Ugandans, support local enterprises and promote the participation of local suppliers in major projects, in line with Uganda’s local content objectives.
China State Construction Engineering Corporation is an international construction and engineering company involved in various infrastructure and development projects worldwide.
The meeting forms part of ongoing engagements with investors to explore opportunities for investment expansion, strengthen partnerships and support infrastructure development in Uganda.
