Our head of Unit, SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, this afternoon held a meeting with Owek. Eng. John Baptist Walusimbi, former Katikkiro of the Buganda Kingdom, at the Unit offices located at Plot 16 Naguru Drive, Naguru.
The engagement focused on the critical role of skills and capacity development in driving sustainable local content growth and national transformation. Discussions emphasized the need to equip Ugandans with practical skills, technical expertise, and innovative capacity to fully participate in key sectors of the economy.
SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi reaffirmed the Unit’s commitment to promoting initiatives that empower local communities through knowledge transfer, skills enhancement, and increased participation in national development programs.
Owek. Eng. John Baptist Walusimbi commended the efforts of the State House Local Content Unit in championing capacity building and creating opportunities for Ugandans to contribute meaningfully to the country’s socio-economic progress.
The meeting reflects the Unit’s continued efforts to engage experienced leaders and professionals in shaping strategies that strengthen Uganda’s local content agenda.
