The State House Local Content Unit successfully overseen the handover of 50 motorcycles to selected activity-based mobilization groups, in a strategic move aimed at strengthening household incomes and enhancing economic participation.
The motorcycles, donated by H.E. Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, were officially handed over by the Special Presidential Assistant (SPA) on Local Content and Special Duties, Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi, during a ceremony held at Namanve Industrial Park on Friday, 28th March 2026.
The beneficiary groups included the Rapid Response Unit (RRU), Tonta NRM Mobilization Group, Banabugerere, and the NRM High Command Task Force, all of whom are actively engaged in income-generating activities, particularly within the boda boda sector.

Enhancing Livelihoods Through Strategic Support
Speaking at the handover, SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi expressed gratitude to the President for his continued commitment to empowering grassroots groups:
“I thank H.E. Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for supporting these beneficiary groups to strengthen their existing activities through provision of motorcycles.”
Each motorcycle package was complemented with a UGX 50,000 fuel card, a one-year warranty, and free servicing, ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency for the beneficiaries.
Call to Action Against Corruption
In line with the President’s directive, SPA Mukalazi urged the public to remain vigilant and report any individuals involved in the illegal sale of government jobs.
“I urge you all to report whoever is involved in selling government jobs,” she emphasized.
This call reinforces the government’s ongoing efforts to uphold transparency, accountability, and equal opportunity in public service recruitment.

The event also highlighted the contribution of Haojue Company Uganda Ltd in advancing Uganda’s local content agenda. The company was commended for employing Ugandans and building local capacity through motorcycle assembly operations.
By prioritizing local employment, Haojue aligns with the government’s broader vision of industrialization, skills development, and wealth creation for citizens.
